About
Dolly Parton once said, “If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.” My name is Holli Young, and I had to start paving many different roads on more than one occasion. I am a mother of three beautiful children and a native Floridian. I’m used to living down country roads, but this road called life has had many changes along the way.
When I was in my early twenties, I had a job as a graphic designer, but was limited as to what I could do creatively. A few years later, I moved to New Hampshire where a local print shop was looking for a graphic designer to clean up logos. I enjoyed my job but ended up moving back to Florida a few months later.
I’ve always loved art and started drawing when I was a child, but I never pursued a career in it. Instead, I wanted to be a Secondary Math Teacher. I received my AA at Lake Sumter State College but was not able to pass the GK Test while attending St. Leo University. Therefore, I had to look for a different career.
“If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.”
As a parent of three beautiful children, I wanted to have a career that would take care of both me and my children, and that did not include answering phone calls at a reception desk. Therefore, I decided to go back into graphic design and enroll at The Art Institute of Tampa. With the support of my family and friends, I now have a BFA in a career I never thought was possible.
When it comes to design, I am very versatile. I can use many parts of the Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AfterEffects, and XD. My specialty is Illustrator. I enjoy making logos, one-of-a-kind creation that my clients will be able to use and enjoy Always and Forever.
